Carl Sweeten, of Wentzville, MO, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Nancy Marie Sweeten; cherished son of the late Lexie and Jessie Carl Sweeten; devoted father of Cindy Marie Sweeten, Gary Carl (Carole Renee) Sweeten, and Daren Lynn (Suzanne Jene) Sweeten; loving grandfather of Alicia (Scott) Joiner, Stacey (James) Taylor, Aaron (Heather) Sweeten, Chelcea Sweeten (fiancé Tommy Doss), Coleman (Kelsey) Sweeten, Kinley Sweeten (fiancé Mark Sheridan), Daulton Sweeten, Easton Sweeten, and Campbell Sweeten; precious great grandfather of Carter Hawley, Kamryn, Devon, Tia, LaNiya, Anastacia, Gavin, Isaac, Gracie, Charlie, and Paisley Sweeten, Lylah, Hazel, and Tripp Burns; dear brother of Bob, Wanda, Larry, the late Roy, and the late Rosella; brother in law of John Baxter, and Marty Satterfield; treasured uncle and friend.
Carl was a devoted member of Southern Baptist Church Wentzville, MO and served as a Deacon in various churches for over 50 years. He retired from Local # 110 St. Louis, MO after 50 years. Carl was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a talented woodworker, building cedar chests, windmills, and wishing wells, just to name a few. Carl was known as a "Jack of all Trades". He was devoted to his wife Nancy of nearly 69 years. He cherished his children and grandchildren. Most importantly, Carl was a man of God. Carl was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
