Carla Jean Simon (nee: Myers), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018, at the age of 60. Beloved daughter of Carl and Wynema Myers of Mexico, Missouri; devoted mother of Whitney Simon, and Robert "Jackson" Simon, III; dear sister of Carroll Myers and Rose Ann Myers; cherished aunt of Justin (Brandy) Myers and Joshua Myers; treasured niece of Betty (Walter) Houf; dear great-aunt of Anthony, Gavin, Tegan, Landon, Cora, Hudson, and many more.
Carla is also survived by, Robert “Jay” Simon, Jr., Mary Alice Simon, Margaret (Wallace) Darneille, Jayne (Steve) Hillner, Jason (Anne) Darneille, Meredith (Bill) Camp, Jennifer Darneille Mancuso, Marshall (Mary Rob) Darneille, Trevor Hillner, Courtney Hillner-Ludlow, and Chelsea Simon.
Carla will be remembered for her warm heart, young spirit, and sweet soul. She was very caring and thoughtful, and always put others before herself. She felt at home in St. Charles and loved working at Miss Aimee B’s, where she treated everyone like family. She always had a smile on her face with her infectious joy.
With whatever her current project may have been, Carla loved keeping busy, and had a creative eye to find the beauty in the most overlooked places. From restoring an antique to its richest self, to spotting random rocks to incorporate into her beautiful garden, she couldn’t resist putting her unique artistic touch on whatever it may be. Although, she had many passions in life, more than anything, she loved spending time with her loving children who meant the world to her. Carla could keep anyone entertained for hours reminiscing the past. She cherished the memories made with family and friends. She was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
