Carol A. Armstrong

Carol Ann Armstrong (nee: Dierkes), of Florissant, MO, Thursday, June 15, 2017, age 83. Beloved daughter of the late Geroge H. and Edith R. Dierkes; devoted mother of Daughter, Tammie L. (Steve) Schnelle, and Cynthia M. Diefel; dear sister of Irwin G. (Mary) Dierkes; cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Steve) Tippit, Jessica Bedsworth, Joshua Schnelle, Jeffrey Armstrong, William Armstrong, and Christina Armstrong; treasured great-grandmother of Ella Tippit; mother-in-law of Carol Armstrong; she is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Armstrong and nephew, Tim Dierkes.

Carol worked for the John Harland Company for many years. She loved to be on the go, and spent much of her time volunteering at De Smet Retirement Community, St. Patrick’s Apartments, St. Louis Northern Lights Council of the Blind, St. Charles County Council of the Blind, and Missouri Council of the Blind. She loved being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren and family especially going out to lunch with them. Carol loved to go shopping and had a witty sense of humor. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
