Ms. Carol Jean Lotterer, 80 of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Monday February 20, 2017 at Homestead Hospital. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, and lived in the surrounding areas until 2014, when she moved to Homestead, Florida. Carol lived at Sunny Hills Assisted Living near her daughter's home. There she was loved by many and was voted the person with the Most Positive Attitude by the facility staff. She worked within the Traffic and Stores departments of McDonnell Douglas where she retired after 30 years of service.
Survivors include: Daughter, Denise Neal-Blaine, Son-in-Law Thomas Blaine Jr., Granddaughter, Katherine Blaine-Yowell, Katherine's spouse Jeremy Yowell, Grandson, Staff Sargent Christopher Blaine and Christopher's spouse Jessica Blaine. Great Grandchildren, Stella Blaine and Sebastian Yowell. Carol was the daughter of Morris Brophy of Cairo, Illinois and Fortunata Mary (Basile) Brophy of Marigliano, Italy. She is the last survivor of a generation of eight sisters and brothers. Carol is the beloved, cousin, aunt, great aunt and great-great aunt to many of her family members.
Carol enjoyed playing cards, bingo, sequence and skip-bo. But, what Carol enjoyed and loved most was talking about her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would lite up with joy when Denise and her Skyped with her little ones. Carol was greatly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
