Carol Ruth Nickens

Carol Ruth Nickens (nee Horning), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 at the age of 80. Loving wife of Jerry Michael Nickens; beloved daughter of the late Vincent N. Jr. and Onda Horning; devoted mother of Lisa (Ken) Zweifel and the late Steven Nickens; cherished grandmother of Eric (Abby Garcia) Nickens, Abby (Ryan) Deckard, and Stephanie (Abdullah Hussein) Zweifel; treasured great-grandmother of Cora Deckard and Charlie Nickens; dear sister of Jeanne Smith and Johnny Horning; sister-in-law of Cathy (the late Dean) Nickens; and is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. 

Carol had a passion for crafting, cooking, traveling, and cherished every moment spent with her family. She never met a stranger, making friends wherever she went. Carol was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
