Carole Anne Mackenberg

Carole Anne Mackenberg of Cottleville, MO, passed away at the age of 79 on Saturday, February 29, 2020. She is survived by her daughters, Kelly (Bill) Ogden and Lesa Arne; her grandchildren, James Joseph Zwyers and Hannah Jo Arne; her great-grandson, James Edward Zwyers; her siblings, Connie Sammelmann and her late husband Elmer,  Edward “Buddy” (Mary Ann) Frye, John Frye and her sister-in-law, Mary Frye. Carol is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Francis Mackenberg; her daughter, Robyn Tippett and son in law, Bob Tippett and her parents, Edward and Ruby Frye.

Carol was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Cottleville. She loved entertaining and enjoyed a friendly game of cards at the kitchen table. Carole also enjoyed going on fishing trips with her husband Joseph. She was an amazing cook but baking was her specialty. Family was always the most important thing in Carole’s life and she truly treasured all the times she spent with her daughters, grandchildren and siblings, she had especially enjoyed the last few months she spent with her sister Connie tracing their family tree and working on their family genealogy and putting together photo albums for her children. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
