Carolyn Girbert

Carolyn Sue Girbert (nee Patton), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, at the age of 85. Cherished daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth Patton. Devoted mother of Mike (Leigh) Girbert, Karen (Mark) Hollander, Ron (Julie) Girbert, Susan Barton; loving grandmother of Megan Girbert, Jenna Girbert, Olivia Hollander, Zachary Hollander, Alaina Girbert, Aidan Girbert, Aria Girbert, Evan Barton, Jake Barton, and Katelyn (Luke) Ezell; treasured great-grandmother of Weston, Benton, and Lyla; dear sister of Tom (Anne) Patton, James (Janice) Patton, and Patricia (the late Dave) Horsley; sister-in-law of Shirley Wynkoop. Preceded in death by brothers, William Patton, Charles Patton, David Patton and sister, Sarah Davis. 

 Carolyn was a devoted mother of four who spent many years as a homemaker before earning her nursing degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1979. She took great pride in her nursing career, and outside of work, she found joy in gardening and reading. Carolyn was known for her kindness and forgiving nature, always putting family first. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and remained deeply dedicated to her family throughout her life. Carolyn was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
