Carrie Lillian Smith Hood Burnett, 97, died Monday, February 15, 2021, at her home.
Born in Risco, MO, she was a daughter of the late James A. Smith and Eva Snowden Smith.
Mrs. Burnett was twice married, first to the late James W. Hood of Missouri then to the late Rudolph Burnett of Tennessee.
Mrs. Burnett was a member of Wise Drive Baptist Church and a former member of the VFW. She was retired from McDonald Douglas Aircraft.
Surviving are one daughter, Patsy E. Jones (Ronald) of Sumter; 7 grandchildren, Cynthia Jones (Kirk), Carrie Jodoin, Cheryl Jones, Charlotte Bohr (Matt), James Hood (Crystal) David Hood (Sarah) and Michael Hood; 17 great-grandchildren, Hunter, Jordan, Taylor, Logan, Steven, Michael, Joseph, Tyler, Kirsten, Daniel, Jonathan, Jacob, Hannah, Rachel, Lydia; Adrian and Logan; 6 great-great-grandchildren, Grayson, Jamison, Theo, Carson, Layton and Matthew.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Leroy Hood.
