Carroll Vetter

Carroll O. Vetter (nee Holt), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Robert A. "Tony" Vetter; beloved daughter of Oscar and Lena Holt; devoted mother of Annette (John) Ehlmann, Rene Vetter, and David (Kelly) Vetter; cherished grandmother of Ryan (Taylor) and Eric (Ellisa) Ehlmann, and Stephen Vetter; treasured great-grandmother of Tucker and Aurora Ehlmann. Carroll is also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Morgan Vetter, and her siblings, Earl, Betty, Earlene, and Donna.

Carroll was a devoted wife, sharing 62 loving years of marriage with her beloved husband, Tony. A lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, she had a zest for life that showed in her love of travel, memorable “girls’ trips,” and her enthusiasm for both theatre and country music concerts. Carroll and Tony were proud members of the St. Louis Jazz clubs and shared a special fondness for the majestic Clydesdale horses.

Above all, Carroll cherished her time with family—especially her grandchildren, with whom she made treasured memories on countless overnight adventures. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who had the joy of knowing her.

The family has chosen to do a private service.
