Carsten Edward Bowman

Bowman, Carsten Edward, of O’Fallon, Missouri, died on Monday, February 7, 2011 at the age of 83. Loving husband of 60 years to Elsie Nova Bowman nee: Miller; devoted father of Kathleen Wynne, Donna (Mark) Lewis and Timothy (Tara) Bowman; dear grandfather of Kristin (Andy) Cento, Kathryn Wynne, Nicole, Zachary and Jared Bowman and Julia Lewis; great-grandfather of Sophie Wynne; dear brother of Lucille Hesselmeyer and brother-in-law to Clora Kramer. Beloved uncle to Rita Hesselmeyer, Michelle Blea and Michael Essary. Carsten is preceded in death by his parents Howard Bowman and Adrea Bowman Adelsberg, step father Erwin Adelsberg, mother and father-in-law Mary and William Miller, sister Carol Swiger, and brothers-in-law Richard Hesselmeyer and Clifford Kramer. Carsten was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 for 55 years and served in the Merchant Marines as well as the Navy during WWII. Memorials may be made to The American Lung Association.
