Casimir F. Gawronski

Gawronski, Casimir F., of St. Charles, Missouri, fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, died peacefully in his sleep at the New Florence Care Center on Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at the age of 90. Dearest husband of the late Eleanor B. Gawronski (nee Dalman); beloved son of the late Stanley and the late Victoria Gawronski, dear father of Carolyn (David) Steinmetz, Janet (Gary) Renner and the late Denny (Kathy) Gawronski, and father-in-law of Mary K. Gawronski; dear grandfather of David, Robert, Greg, Andy and Joel; dear great-grandfather of Amanda, Jon, Cole, Kendall, Clay Teagan and Tanner; loving brother of Pearl Povolish and the late Sophie Galbierz, Annie Kosciolek and Lillian Bejma; dear brother-in-law of Amanda Dalman. Casey is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces and a "ton of friends". He is a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of American Legion Post #312 and St. Peter Catholic Church. He is a retired toolgrinder of 30 years for McDonnell-Douglas and loved hunting, fishing, carpentry, dancing, playing pool and accordion music with Casey's Band at the Odell Senior Center, family reunions, etc. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Masses, preferred, or to the charity of choice.
