Catherine A. “Kate” Orf (nee Wilke), of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018, at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Clarence A. Orf; cherished daughter of the late Bernard and Gertrude Wilke; devoted mother of Ruth (the late Jim) Bauer, Mary Kay (the late Kenny) Vogelgesang, Bernard J. (Nancy) Orf, Clarice (Joe) Daugherty, Richard (Nancy) Orf, the late Kenneth C. (the late Jan) Orf, and the late Raymond Orf; loving grandmother of Mike Orf, Jerry (Trish) Orf, Lori (Bill) Wortmann, Larry (Tonya) Bauer, Keith (Michelle) Vogelgesang, Karla (Brent) Peine, Don (Heidi) Bauer, Tom Orf, Krista Haggard, Dan (Molly) Daugherty, Jessica (Matt) Eusterbrock, Dale Bauer, Angela (Steve) Juergensmeyer, Matt (Ramie) Orf, Jon (Chrissy) Daugherty, Tim (Stacy) Orf, Adam (Hanna) Orf, Katie (Dustin) White, and Anna Daugherty; treasured great-grandmother of 46; loving great-great-grandmother of 13; dear sister of Lucille Stoehner; and caring sister-in-law of Doris Wilke and Tillie Hemmer.
In addition to her husband, parents, and sons, she was preceded in death by six siblings, John Wilke, Edward Wilke, Eugene Wilke, Helen Ohlms Griesenauer, Esther Burkemper, and Alice Christian.
Kate was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church and the Ladies Guild. She loved quilting, playing bingo, and playing numerous card games. She was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
