Catherine "Cathy" Hodel

Catherine Louise Hodel (nee Miller), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the age of 86. Beloved wife of Marvin Hodel; cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Ressie Miller. Devoted mother of Richard (Beth Libowtiz) Hodel and Karen (Will) Asbell; loving grandmother of Logan Hodel, Ryan and Connor Asbell; dear sister of Dorothy, Mildred, Roger, and the late Joseph Caroll.

Cathy was deeply involved in her community, serving as a Girl Scout leader and leading the TOPS organization for many years. A true social butterfly, she cherished building connections and helping others. Cathy thoughtfully sent birthday cards to everyone, made friends wherever she went, and found joy in volunteering. She was a dedicated room mom at her children's school and worked as a clerk for Ozark Airlines. Her years of dedication and work as her daughter’s sidekick at all her dance events is where she became best known as the team’s dance mom. Her greatest joy, however, came from her role as a grandmother—she cherished her grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. Cathy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
