Catherine “Kate” Ann Harig (nee Reilly), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the age of 85. Loving wife of the late Richard "Dick" Harig; beloved daughter of the late Edward and Virginia Reilly; devoted mother of Richard (Faith) Harig II, Maureen (Richard) Politte, Timothy (Nabila) Harig, John (Kelli) Harig, Dan (Mary Lynn) Harig, and Christina Harig; cherished grandmother of Claudia (Dave) Chula, Katy Harig, Sarah Harig, Jonathan Harig, Jojo Harig, Daniel Harig, Jakob Harig, Ben Harig, David Schwartz, Dylan Schwartz, and Matthew Politte; dear sister of Richard (Betty) Reilly, John (Alicia) Reilly, Mary "Sis" (the late Edward) Gray, and Margaret (Hugh) Burns. Catherine is also preceded in death by her brothers, Rev. Msgr. Edward Reilly and Rev. Joseph Reilly.
Kate was fortified by the sacraments of Holy Mother Church many times by priests from St. Gregory, St. Sabina, St. Lawrence The Martyr and presently Immaculate Conception Dardenne for over 20 years. Kate was an avid sports fan. She loved watching her children and grandchildren excel at sports, and was a life long Cardinals fan. She was a woman full of faith who devoted herself to God and instilled her faith in her children and grandchildren. Kate was a supportive and loving mother and a friend to all. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Kate's name to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Dardenne Prairie.
