Cathi Sue Humphrey

April 27, 1949 — May 14, 2024

O'Fallon, Missouri

    II Corinthians 4:17-18
"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

Cathi Sue Humphrey  nee' Howard, born April 27, 1949, passed away in the living room of her home in O'Fallon, Mo, Tuesday, 14 , 2024, at 7:55p.m. She was 75 years old. Surrounded by her two loving, dedicated caregivers, husband Ronald W. Humphrey, only child Rodney W. Humphrey, and loyal family dog "Gracie" along her bedside.  Cathi Sue's fight finally came to an end.
Beloved daughter of the late Virgil & Dorothy Howard of Oklahoma; adored wife of Ronald Humphrey (O'Fallon, Mo); Amazing mother of Rodney Humphrey (St. Charles, Mo); cherished "NANA" of Derick Humphrey(St. Peters, Mo) and Nevaeh Humphrey(Warrenton, Mo); Loving great-grandmother aka "NANA" of Nova and Eliah Humphrey; Dear little sister of Phyllis (Gary) Stanley (Oklahoma) and Dottie (late Ed) Taylor (Oklahoma) and life/long friend/sister-in-law of Debbie (Darryl) Hayes (Warrenton, Mo).
Cathi Sue is preceded in death by her six siblings; Lavida Minor, Jay Howard, Virgil Howard, Beverly Garmen, Bobby Howard, and Teresa Wilson all of Oklahoma.
One of nine children, Cathi Sue was raised by both parents with a strong Godly faith. An independent thinker became one of Cathi's strong traits beginning from a young girl.

In 1969, Cathi relocated from her home state of Oklahoma to attend Gateway Christian College in Florissant Mo. Shortly after she settled, she met her future forever husband Ronald Humphrey. On May 1, 1971, Ronald & Cathi were joined in marriage at the United Pentecostal Church in Collinsville Ok. and for the next 53 years and 13 days Mr. & Mrs. Humphrey experienced true love.  On November 8, 1973, Ron & Cathi became the proud parents of their only son, Rodney W. Humphrey.  Cathi dedicated her life to being an extraordinary mother and grandmother and even in sickness those boys came first.
Throughout the years, Cathi worked as a Photo Finisher, as well as an Insurance Rep. She had a gift for designing floor plans and home decorating. She also always enjoyed traveling and trying new restaurants and, of course, spending time with her grandkids. Cathi was always thoughtful and caring when anyone anywhere was in need.
Cathi Sue Humphrey will be sorely missed
