Cecilia M. Kavadas “Cece” (nee Ruppert), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at the age of 88. Survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Tony Kavadas; beloved daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Ruppert; Devoted mother of Ann (Ken) Casassa, Rose (Stan) Schultehenrich, Tony (Nancy) Kavadas, Kristina (Bobby) Stapleton, and cherished grandmother of Elena Casassa, Stephanie (Corey) Harris, Tony (AV) Niehaus, Alexis Schultehenrich, Ellie and Chloe Kavadas, Matt Hahn, Spencer, Ryan, Bobby, and Chase Stapleton. Great-grandmother to Ariadnae, Phineas, Despina, Alexavier and Alekai. Survived by her sibling Sister Elizabeth Ruppert.
Cece was born in Crivitz, Wisconsin and was the baby of eight siblings. At an early age, she devoted her life to God by joining the Franciscan Sisters of St. Mary convent from 1949 until 1965. She remained an associate member of the FSSM. She received her degrees from St Louis University and Washington University.
She left the convent for a new calling to become a dedicated wife; to Tony and a devoted mother to their 4 children. Always wanting to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In her professional life, she was a registered nurse working with the critical ill. Being relocated due to Tony’s career, she was able to spread her devotion to numerous hospitals in various states as a registered nurse, giving her compassion to her patients and their families.
Cece loved spending time with her family. She has traveled to many countries and enjoyed spending time on the beach on their yearly Florida vacations.
Cece was a very positive and generous person. She would always make sure everyone was taken care of and that they had what they needed. Her home was always open to family and friends. Cece was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
