Celia "Tilley" Jane Tilley

Celia Jane "Tilley" (nee Porter), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at the age of 88. Cherished daughter of the late James and Linda Porter. Devoted mother of Jane (Tom) Grayson and Jason Tilley; loving grandmother of Jacob (Jalyn) Grayson; dear sister of Patty Tadajski; and Aunt “Cetty” to many nieces and nephews. Tilley is preceded in death by her siblings, Donald Porter, Betty Jean Katich, and Marilyn Kovach. 

Tilley was a faithful member of First St. Charles United Methodist Church where she participated in their Sunday School classes. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and crocheting, especially making lap robes and donating them to Veteran’s associations. Tilley loved the outdoors, spending time walking on the beach and loved animals and bird watching. She was a talented artist, and enjoyed drawing and painting. In her younger years, Tilley worked on retouching photography by hand. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family. Tilley was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Memorials may be made in Tilley's name to First St. Charles United Methodist Church, Oasis Food Pantry or Five Acres Animal Shelter.
