Charles “Charlie” Stock, of Wentzville, MO, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at the age of 78. Loving husband of the late Gail Stock; beloved son of the late Julius "Pal" and Leona Stock; devoted father of Chuck (the late Deanne) Stock, Kim Lexa, and Tammy Bell; cherished grandfather of Katie, Kristoper, Courtney, Tyler, Abigail, Benjamin, David and Maddie; dear brother of Dale (Linda) Stock and Barb (Karl) Odenwald. He is preceded in death by his sister, Ann (Bill) Visnaw.
Charlie golfed his whole life; he started his career at Greenbriar Country Club and went on to play the PGA tour from 1964 to 1969. He spent nearly 30 years as a Golf Professional in Northeast Ohio before returning to St. Louis. In 2003 Charlie was inducted into the Northeast Ohio PGA Hall of Fame. One of his accomplishments was a Guinness World Record for most holes played in 24 hours, Charlie played 783 holes to raise money for the March of Dimes. He loved fishing, anything to do with sports, his family, and especially his grandchildren. Charlie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
