Charles “Charlie” Thro

Charles "Charlie" Thro of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 94 on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy E. Thro (nee Wetter); his parents, August and Edna Thro; his granddaughter, Kelly Cuthbertson; and two brothers, Marion (Survived by JoAnn) Thro and Anthony (The late Vera) Thro.

Charlie is survived by his children, Tom (Kathy) Thro, Stephen (Linda) Thro, Barbara (Jim) Hauenstein, Jane Lawson, Jean (Tom) Pohlman, Robert Thro, Carolyn (Jerry) Earlewine, and Sally Cuthbertson; his seventeen grandchildren; and his sixteen great-grandchildren; he is also survived by his sister, Mary Eugenia (The late Ed) Dannegger.

Charlie was a veteran of the US Army and served during World War II. He was a faithful member of St. Peter Catholic Church and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Charlie’s name to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
