Charles “Chuck” Maggart

Charles “Chuck” Maggart, of Hazelwood, MO, died on Friday February 17, 2017, at the age of 72. Loving husband of Lana Maggart for 50 years; beloved son of the late Charles Earl and Mary Virginia Maggart; devoted father of Cathi (Steve) Graham and Wendy (Samuel) Bell; cherished grandfather of Cameron and Alexa Graham; dear brother of Theresa (Donald) Snodgrass and Karen Maggart; also survived by many cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Breanna Graham.

Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He graduated with a degree in aviation management from Auburn University. Chuck worked for McDonnell/McDonnell Douglas/Boeing for 32 years. He was a private pilot and built two of his very own airplanes. Chuck was a past president of the Missouri Pilots Association, as well as a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 32. He was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church where he was the head usher. Mostly, Chuck loved being with his family and friends, he was a man of his word and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
