Charles “Chuck” William Mansfield, Jr. of Saint Louis, MO, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Guadalupe Mansfield; cherished son of the late Charles William Mansfield, Sr and Betty Marie Mansfield; stepson of the late Velda Lou Mansfield. Devoted father of Brande Mansfield, Charles (April) Mansfield, III, Jessica Mansfield, Miguel Sanchez, and Vianca Sanchez; stepfather of Sabrina Allmendinger; loving grandfather of Amanda Rehberg, Thomas Stahl, Mitchell Stahl, Gracielou Stahl, and Jack Stahl; treasured great-grandfather of Harley Rehberg; dear brother of Linda (Donald) DeFreese, Beverly (the late Larry) Hardester, Tamara (Bron) Richardson, and Kimberly Moore; uncle of Breann Richardson, Christopher (Megan) DeFreese, and Matthew (Paisley) DeFreese; great-uncle of Zachary DeFreese and Henry DeFreeseHe was a loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Megann Stahl; brother, George Lockhart; and nephew, Eric Clayton Moore. 

 

Chuck proudly served in the United States Marine Corps special forces for 9 yearsHe found immense satisfaction in acquiring a diverse set of skills during his tenure in the Marines, consistently pushing himself to achieve excellence in every endeavor. For Chuck, his family held unparalleled significance; his adoration for his children and grandchildren was unwavering. Demonstrating a commitment to prioritizing family, he served as a guiding presence for his children, offering unwavering support and instilling a sense of structure.  

 

Chuck emphasized the importance of pausing and reflecting, even in the seemingly small moments of life. His love for the outdoors was evident through his passion for activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking, traveling, golfing, and motorcycle riding. Chuck's enthusiasm for sports extended to both watching and playing basketball, with a fervent allegiance to the Dallas Cowboys and Lakers.  

 

Cherished by those who knew him, Chuck leaves behind a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of sharing in his life.
