Charles Dillow

Charles F. “Charlie” Dillow, of Venice, FL, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at the age of 76.  Beloved husband of Sharon M. Dillow; cherished son of the late Albert Lee and Betty Jean Dillow; loving brother of Janice Lee Walker.  Devoted father of Scott Charles (Betty) Dillow and Christopher Charles (April) Dillow; loving grandfather of Brittni (Nick) Belcher, Gavin Dillow, and Olivia Dillow; loving brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Charlie graduated from the University of Illinois in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in physics. After an exceptional 36-year career, he retired from Boeing in 2005. Charlie collected baseball cards and classic cars, often times entering his cars in shows where he won several best in show awards with his 1969 Hurst Oldsmobile 455. One of the only original owners remaining, he purchased the Olds right off the production line and still owns it to this day.

Charlie was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues fan.  He enjoyed softball and golf, playing in adult leagues of each for many years following his retirement.  More than anything, Charlie loved his family.  He and his wife Sharon were childhood sweethearts and were married for 55 years, creating many wonderful memories together.  He was a wonderful father and a dedicated grandfather.  He was always invested and active in their hobbies and sports.  Charlie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Charles' name to Parkinson's Association or Alzheimer’s Association.
