Charles E. Poole

Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Poole, Charles E. "Chuck", of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, died on Monday, October 13, 2008 at the age of 79. Dearest son of the late Shuford Miles and Gertrude Aileen Poole; Loving father of Robert L. (Kris) Poole and Debra Anne (David) Poole-Jensen; Proud grandfather of Jason Miles (Kassy) Poole and Jessica Renee Poole; Loving great-grandfather of Miles Joseph Poole; Dear brother of John Truman (Rose) Poole, Jimmy (Janice) Poole, Delia White, Jacqueline (Joe) Herlong, Maryann (Gene) Clary, and the late Robert Poole, the late Edgar Poole and the late Hazel Goudelock; Beloved Uncle, Great-Uncle and Friend. He served in the US Navy as a Quarter Master on the U.S.S. Toledo during the Korean War. He was employed as an Automobile Executive at General Motors in Van Nuys, California. After retirement from General Motors, he became a successful realtor in Simi-Valley, California. He was an avid golfer and it became his passion, playing at least three times a week. He was "young at heart" and led a very active, independent life.
