Charles Eugene May

March 11, 1935 — June 27, 2019

Charles E. May age 84, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home after a prolonged illness on June 27, 2019. He was the son of Charles Henry May and Francis Ellen Davis. Preceded in death by wife Joann V Payette. He is survived by daughters Cassandra Jo (Steven Horman) May, Joyce A (John E) Gamble; and sons Charles H (Paula Burnett) May and William B (Grace Bommarito) May. Grandfather to Nathaniel and Jenna Gamble, Nicole and Robert Paige, Stephanie Horman and Michael Mueller, Claudia and Amelia May, and Olivia May. Great Grandfather to Devin, Adrian, Rylan Paige.

Charles was born in Cleveland, Tennessee on March 11, 1935, worked as salesman of salesman and was a former Sargent in regimental #425 of the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He enjoyed visiting with family, friends, and playing cards. He loved his mid-morning coffee and donuts as well as watching his sports either live or on TV with friends and family, an occasional card game, and his lottery scratch off tickets. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and those who knew him.
