Charles Franklin Back

Charles Franklin Back, Jr., age 89, of Grassy, MO, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013. He was born February 18, 1924 in Zalma, MO, son of Charles and Cora Back, and was a retired Quality Control Inspector at Wagner Electric in St. Louis, MO. Survivors include daughters Loretta Porter and Karen Gallagher both of St. Peters, MO; one brother Doyle Back of Orchard Farm, MO; two grandchildren Steven Back and Lezli Porter, and one great-grandson Collin Beard Baker. He was preceded in death by his wife Dora Ruth Back, united in marriage on August 30, 1946; his parents; three brothers Avery, William and Kenneth; four sisters Reeda, Veda, Lorene, and Lee; and two grandchildren Jacob Wayne Beard Jr. and Angela Leann Beard. Memorials may be made to American Cancer, St. Louis Chapter Alzheimer's Association, or Mercy Hospice.
