Charles Harvey Collins, of Foristell, Missouri, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021, at the age of 74. Loving husband of the late Carolyn Sue Collins; beloved son of the late William Harvey and Ethel M. Collins; devoted father of Rose Marie Collins, Scott Ray Adams, Bobby Dale Glen Adams, and the late Timothy McQueen; father-in-law of Karen McQueen; cherished grandfather of Christina Marie Moore, David Brian Owens, Jr., Kristina (Adam) Scott, Tashia Owens, Scotty Ray Adams, Jr., Candace (Daniel) Hill, and Sandra (Guy) Hendrix; treasured great-grandfather of Brendan Etchison, Brett Hawkins, Keegan Owens, Cameron Starks, Abbigail Starks, Kennedy Owens, Heidi Gillingham, Makenna Moore, Grace Hendrix, Savannah Hendrix, Harmony Hendrix, and Autumn Rose Owens; dearest brother of Helen Kendall, James (the late Pat) Collins, the late Edward Collins, the late Larry Collins, the late Robert Collins, the late Richard Collins, and the late Charles “Jack” T. (Mary Ann) Collins; brother-in-law of Bo Collins, Linda Collins, and Mary Lee Collins. Charlie is also survived by his best friends, Ron and Shirley Clifton, Johnny and Charlotte Clifton, and Butch and JoAnn Grimes, as well as his beloved dogs, Harley and Sweet Pea. He was a dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Charlie loved cars, and he owned L & C Truck Repair for more than 40 years. He had two show cars, a ’70 GTX and ’64 Impala, along with many other hotrods throughout the years. He was a true Chevy man through and through.
Charlie enjoyed traveling with friends and family. He made many trips to Florida, Arizona, Mexico, Hawaii, Jamaica, and Myrtle Beach. His other favorite destinations included Goose Creek and Lake of the Ozarks, where he liked to go fishing. Charlie also looked forward to taking his kids to Branson, Silver Dollar City, and Lake Wappapello.
Charlie was a golf enthusiast and hit the green at least once a week. He enjoyed going to the movies every Tuesday with his buddy, Ron. In his spare time, the bowling lanes called his name and he was always good for a strike or two. He also liked going to auctions and shopping for things, just anything he found neat.
Charlie loved his family dearly, especially his grandkids, and he always had a treat for them. He was a social bug, and will be remembered for his wonderful personality, and he just about knew someone everywhere he went.
Charlie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorial contributions may be made in Charlie's name to
