Charles R. Helfrich, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, at the age of 78. Loving husband of Janolah (Jody) Helfrich (nee Osborn); beloved father of Chuck (Amy) Helfrich and Tami Helfrich; dear grandpa of Ashley Helfrich; son of the late Mary Virginia LaBarbera; nephew of Charles Stockwell; brother to Sherry Toennis, Joe LaBarbera, and Jenny (Randy) Hirsch; and uncle to many nieces and nephews.   

Rich was born in St. Louis, MO.  He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War on the NAS LeMoore.  He worked for McDonnell Douglas as an aircraft mechanic.  He began and owned Certified Exterminators.  He attended North County Community Church.  He loved fishing, playing cards, playing games on his phone, and watching NASCAR on TV.  Some of his favorite memories were fishing trips especially at Montauk State Park in MO, camping, boating, the pool in his backyard, shooting pool in the basement, playing Uno around a kitchen table, being Mr. Fix-it around the house, being an exterminator and enjoying all of his customers. 

Memorials may be made in Charles's name to North County Community Church. 

The family asks that friends and family wear casual attire.
