Charles L. “Chuck” Gerdes

Gerdes, Charles L., (March 16, 1937-April 22, 2010). Survived by his wife, Janet M. Gerdes (nee Grzeskowiak) of St. Charles, MO, his two sons, Dennis of St. Charles and Leo and his wife Judy of St. Louis, along with his grandson Matthew and wife Jennifer of St. Charles. He was born in Fairdealing, MO to Edward and Ethel Gerdes (nee Shelton). He was the owner/operator of The One and Only Donut King in St. Charles for more thatn 40 years. Mr. Gerdes enjoyed bird watching, growing roses and wildflowers, especially Jack in the Pulpits. He was a membor of St. Peters Parish for many years and loved to fish and watch wildlife on his farm. He was also a member of the Greater St. Louis and St. Charles Rose Societies. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Gerdes, sister Bonnie Gerdes, and brother-in-law, Lloyd Aikens.
