Charles Louis Silverberg Charles Louis Silverberg of St. Charles, MO died on May 27, 2003 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, MO. Mr. Silverberg was a retired Senior Design Technician for Monsanto Co. in St. Louis where he worked for twenty six years. He also was retired from PC & E Co. in St. Louis where he worked for eleven years. He was born on July 18, 1928 to Louis C. and Marie Silverberg (nee Scherer) both deceased. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, a 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus, St. Philippine Duchesne Assembly 571. He was a Paid Up For Life Member of the St. Charles American Legion Post 312 and the St. Charles VFW Post 2866. He was the Financial Secretary of Knights of Columbus Council 823 in St. Charles for many years. Mr. Silverberg was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1954. Visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church on First Capitol Drive. A funeral mass will follow at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Johns United Church of Christ Cemetery, St. Charles, MO. Among the survivors are his wife Mae Hackmann Silverberg of St. Charles, one brother, Richard E. Silverberg of Foristell, MO. Three sister-in-laws, Betty Silverberg of Foristell, MO, Joan Silverberg of Troy, MO, Viola Gerdeman of St. Charles and Leona Hackmann of St. Charles, MO.
