Charles Shipp

Charles Shipp of O Fallon, MO, passed away at the age of 90 on Friday, July 10, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bessie Shipp; his step-grandson, Devin Sherry; and his siblings, Russell (Alice) Shipp, Lawrence (Lucille) Shipp, Jesse (Nell) Shipp, Henry (Norma, survives) Shipp, Eunice (Auvra) Duty. and Dorothy (Eugene) Baker.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Sarah Shipp; his step-children, David (Lari) Sherry, Allan (Ita) Sherry, and Michael Sherry; his step-grandchildren, Nicole Bond, Robert Sherry, Matthew (Kristen) Sherry, Jacob Sherry, Maria (J.J.) Filipek, Anna Sherry, and Ryan (Taylor) Sherry; and his step-great-grandchildren, Noah Bond, Kyzik Neth, Carson and Brayden Sherry, Tristen, Liam, and Rowan Sherry, John Michael and Vanyka Filipek, and Ava Sherry. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Charles was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in O'Fallon and volunteered to serve in the US Army. He was a member of ICWU Local 344 and employed by Lever Bros. Co. in Pagedale for 24 years. Charles always looked forward to camping trips and traveling, even visiting every state in the USA. For 14 years he was a proud Florida snowbird venturing down to the sunshine and beaches to spend the winter months. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Community Loving Care Hospice of Wentzville for their service.
