Charlie L. Pohl of O’Fallon, MO, passed away at the age of 79 on Thursday, February 4, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elizabeth Pohl; and his siblings, Clyde Pohl, Larry Pohl, Betty Ellis, and Susan DeLaGarza.
Charlie is survived by his beloved wife, Barb Pohl; his children, AnneMarie (Tim) Fletcher, Ken (Megan) Pohl, Keith (Amy) Pohl, Karen (Dan) Knop, Craig (Sara) Pohl, and Jerry Pohl; his siblings, Bill Pohl, Kathy Klaybor, and Tommy Pohl; and his twenty cherished grandchildren.
Charlie was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a faithful parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Dardenne. In his younger years, Charlie was an athlete who carried his love for sports throughout life and treasured the opportunity to coach his children’s teams. He enjoyed carpentry, taking on and completing projects, and was known to be very handy with a knack for fixing anything. Charlie always loved family gatherings and looked forward to the times when he could joke and laugh with his loved ones and play with his grandkids. He had a deep love for music, singing, and was a terrific dancer always full of joy. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
