Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Humane Society of Missouri. BUSEN, Charlotte Dell Schnell, Maryland Heights, MO, November 17, 2005, age 66. Charlotte was born April 18, 1939 in central New York State; daughter of Frank A. Schnell and Ottis L. Tietgen Schnell. She died at home. After cremation at Baue Funeral Home, St. Charles, MO, burial will be near her parents at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Balz-Cynwyd, PA. Charlotte graduated in June, 1957, from the Union Endicott High School, Endicott, NY, followed by a two-year degree from Broome Technical College in Pennsylvania. Following in the footsteps of her father, a career electrical engineer with General Electric Co., near Radnor, PA, Charlotte began her career with GE, making her home with her parents at Radnor, until marrying Leonard J. Busen, of St. Louis, MO, at her home Presbyterian Church near Radnor. Charlotte then continued her career with GE in St. Louis, and then with Allen-Bradley in Maryland Heights and Earth City, MO in Customer Service and inside sales, until she retired in the early 1990s. Charlotte was a homemaker, who loved and was much accomplished in sewing much of her own clothes and her husbands neckties, as time allowed, and was highly adept with computers and software, making holiday and friendship cards for friends and relatives. She was adept at minor electrical repairs, and tried and became quite accomplished at oil and acrylic scenic paintings. Although Charlottes marriage ended in divorce in 1980, the couple remained close personal friends and soulmates to the present, but also with some independent lives. Charlotte is survived by Leonard Busen, who was her primary caregiver since she was diagnosed in mid-2004 with a brain tumor and lung cancer. Charlottes parents and one adopted sister, Judith L. Griffin, are deceased. Other survivors include nieces, Sharon Chadwick, Ashley Wright, Heather Griffin, Danyela Engler and Jennifer Martin and nephews Joseph, Steven and Michael Griffin and Damon Engler, all of Pennsylvania and aunts and uncles.
