Charmaine Pamela Narkawicz (nee Adams), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of Michael Narkawicz; cherished daughter of the late Fred and Magdaline Adams; devoted mother of Jennifer (Matt) Ruege and Rebecca (Charles) Varsogea; dear sister of Ruth (Raymond) Koenig; loving grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt to many.
Charmaine was a lifelong nurse who was extremely caring and selfless and was always taking care of others.
Charmaine was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Charmaine’s Confirmation verse:
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
She was born so tiny, a meek little child
Such joy she would bring, with her temperament mild
Raised knowing Jesus, and the free gift He gave
That he died on that cross, so her life He would save
Her intense love for pups, was known from the start
Looking into their eyes, speaking words from her heart
She would later know, a love like no other
With Becky and Jen, becoming a mother
Her gift of compassion, shown countless ways
Led to becoming a nurse, being worthy of praise
But acclaim was not wanted, her humility reigned
Her commitment to serve, always remained
When sickness came, bringing pain each day
She did not complain, that wasn’t her way
Gentleness always being, a part of her core
Blessing those around her, never asking for more
“Death where is thy sting?” now comes to mind
It offers us comfort, like no other kind
Delighting in the Lord, Char was able to do
Leaving examples to follow, for me and for you
The desires of her heart, she always believed
Was salvation through Christ, God’s promise received
Just like Char, may we each now embrace
The true gift of God’s never ending grace
Memorials may be made in Charmaine's name to Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research.
