Chester L. Vance

Vance, Chester L., of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the age of 70. Loving husband of Marlene Vance (NEE: Shymanski); beloved son of the late Omar and Ruby Vance; loyal step-son of Mary Vance; devoted father of Neal (Mary) Vance, Lowell "Geneo" Vance, and Nicole Vance; cherished step-father of Todd (Emily) Hunter and Kurt (Danielle) Hunter; adoring grandfather of Amber (Daniel) McClain, Natalie Vance, Aiden Hunter, and Lucy Hunter; treasured great-grandfather of Vance McClain, Autumn McClain, and Shalyn Cunningham; dear brother of Ruth (Richard) Burnham, Dorothy (Russ) Lehr, Lola Lively, Daniel Vance, Ralph (Sharon) Vance, and Shirley (Gene) Brown; nephew of Gene (Helen) Vance; step-brother of Phyllis "Jeannie" (Don) Schneider and Grace (Gene) Lund; dearest uncle to three generations of nieces and nephews; fun-loving brother-in-law and friend to many. He is preceded in death by: Helen Turner, sister; Brian Vance, nephew; Joseph Johnston, nephew; Larry Sackman, step-brother; and John "Buddy" Sackman, step-brother. Chester was involved in swing, imperial, and country (2-step) dancing. He was also a DJ who enjoyed karaoke, but above all else, he loved being with friends and family.
