Chuck Hammer, III

Chuck Hammer, III, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019 at the age of 68. Loving husband of Fran Hammer; beloved son of Richard Motta and the late Wilma C. Motta; devoted father of Carlye (Steven) Blunt and Danielle (Joe) Nothstine; stepfather of Christopher Gutreuter, Kimberly (Lenny) Estes, and Danielle (Kirk) Pedersen; dear brother of Ann (Jim) Menzie, and Rich (Kathy) Motta; cherished grandfather of Vincenzo, Charlie, Cory, Nicolas, Randy, Sadie, and Abbie; loving uncle, cousin and friend to many. Charles is also preceded in death by his sister, Linda Nealon.

Chuck spent his professional life as truck driver and mechanic with over 30 years of service in trucking, he retired in 2016 from Fedex. He had a love for hot rod cars, restoring, racing, and even just collecting cars. He liked professional sports, especially football, St. Louis Cardinal Baseball, and Nascar. Most of all, Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family and the time they spent at their Mark Twain Lake cabin, where they made many fond memories. While at the cabin Chuck liked to spend time outdoors hunting, fishing, and boating. Chuck was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
