Clarence L. Wirtz

Wirtz was born on March 24, 1923 in Pinckneyville Illinois to John P. and Emma Wirtz. His loving parents preceded him in death. Clarence served in the United States Air force from 1943-1945. He was a deputy sheriff for the St. Louis County Sheriff's Department from which he retired. He was a member of the Creve Coeur Democratic Club and a former leader of Boy Scout Troop #287. Clarence is survuved by his loving wife, Shirley of St. Charles Missouri, two daughters, Karen Wirtz of St. Peters Missouri, and Brenda Long (Dr. Chris) of Salt Lake City Utah, one son, Steven Wirtz of St. Ann Missouri, one brother Paul Wirtz (Betty) of St. Ann Missouri, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Ted, and Joe Wirtz and one sister, Lucille Wirtz.
