Clarence (Pudgy) Edwin Tindle was born March 28, 1954 in Brentwood, MO. He was the fifth of six children born to Roger and Hazel Tindle who resided in the Meacham Park community. He graduated from South County Tech in 1972. His career eventually led him to reside in the St. Charles area. As a young man he professed a hope in Christ, becoming a dedicated and faithful member of St. Matthew CME Church in Kirkwood, MO. While there, some of his commitments were to the Stewart & Missionary Boards, and he was an active member of the Lay, Choir, and Christian Education ministries. These were a few of the many duties he participated in. During his St. Matthew years, he met and married Debra Key in October, 1992. To that union was born one child, Jenifer Simone Tindle. Because he wanted his daughter to be more involved in the church, Clarence moved his church membership to the Church on the Rock. There he was also involved in a few ministries: Prayer Partner, Hospital, Men’s Prayer, Adopt a Block and Angel Food. Not only did he have a love and passion for his church, Pudgy was equally passionate about his love and attentiveness for his nieces and nephews. He was a dedicated and patient brother, uncle, worker, and member of whatever he participated in. Clarence departed this life on the morning of May 21, 2011. He was preceded in death by his mother, and both grandmothers. Leaving to mourn his passing are his daughter Jenifer; father, Roger Tindle, Sr; two sisters: Barbara Tindle, Sheila Aitch (Louis); three brothers: Roger Tindle Jr (Carolyn Joyce), William Tindle (Deborah), Douglas Tindle (Eddie Mae); one uncle, Arthur Ennis and many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
