Clarence Ray Smith was born on July 11, 1926 in Coleman Texas to Levi and Allie Smith. His loving parents preceded him in death. Rev. Smith was a member of the Lions Club in Texas. He was the former chaplain for the St. Charles Sheriffs Department. Rev. Smith was a member of Grace Baptist Church in St. Charles. He was a minister at various churches in Texas, Louisiana, Missouri and Florida. Rev. Smith is survived by his loving wife, Betty S. Smith of O'Fallon Missouri, two sons, David Ray Smith (Katherine) of O'Fallon Missouri and James Earl Smith of Troy Missouri, three grandchildren, Jennifer Smith of O'Fallon Missouri, Eric Smith (Erin) of O'Fallon Missouri and Shane Franklin Smith of St. Charles Missouri, one great grandson, Nicholas Smith of O'Fallon Missouri, one brother, Travis Smith of San Angelo Texas and two sisters, Lucille Seratte of Coleman Texas and Doris Bamber of Coleman Texas.
