HARRIS, Clarence Vernon., age 76, died December 29, 2005 in his home, surrounded by loving family. He was born April 30, 1929 in St. Louis, and grew up in Rolla, MO. He served his country during the Korean War. He worked at McDonnell Douglas in Field and Service from 1953 until 1992 and was known as “Hush House Harry”. C.V. loved his retirement, spending time in his garden, hunting with his grandson, or fishing in Canada or Mexico with son-in-law and grandson. C.V. always said he was #1 fisherman in #1 boat. He became a Christian as a young boy and was an active member, usher and deacon of First Baptist Church of St. Charles since 1975. Dear husband of 55 years to Dora Dean Harris; devoted father of Debra Kay Smith (J. Brad) and Brenda G. Moore (Dr. Charles W.); beloved grandfather of Heather (Smith) Tabb (Tom), Adam Smith, Katie, Kelly and David Moore and two great-grandchildren Kevin and Carter Tabb; dear brother of Mary LaFlamme, Helen Beale and the late Hilburn Harris. He was our dear Uncle, Great-Uncle, Brother-in-in-law, Cousin and Friend to Many.
