Clyde Philip Klump

Clyde P. Klump, of St. Peters, MO, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at the age of 90. Loving husband of the late Carol May; beloved son of Thelma and Jerome Klump; devoted father of Dr. Philip (Maureen) Klump, Jeffrey (the late Maria) Klump, Timothy Klump, Fr. Greg Klump, Mary (Brett) Bibler, Sharon (Eric) Tolnai, and Jackie (Daniel) Kretschmer; cherished grandfather of twenty; treasured great-grandfather of seven. Clyde is also preceded in death by his son, Douglas Klump and his daughter, Carolyn (Scott, survives) Elfrink.

Clyde was the 5th of 12 children. He proudly served his country in the 101st Airborne in the United States Army, and as Chaplin Assistant in United States Army and was Private Pilot of a Cessna 206. In 1960, Clyde married Carol, and they enjoyed 57 loving years of marriage.

Clyde’s favorite pastime was spending time on the farm near Perryville, MO. He enjoyed traveling, fine dining, and the motorcycle trips he took with his kids. Clyde loved spending time with his children and their families. He also was an avid card player and sports enthusiast.

Clyde’s greatest love was his faith. He spent many hours with the Blessed Sacrament and had a great devotion to the Blessed Mother and the Holy Rosary.

Clyde was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
