Coach Robert Bob R. Groff

''Bob'', St. Peters, MO, September 3, 2005 age 57; dearest husband of Christine F. Groff (nee: Frier); dear son of Margaret M. Groff and the late Robert R. Groff Sr.; loving father of Carrie Michelle Groff and Casey Leigh Lober (Don); special grandfather of Bryce Robert Groff; He was a beloved brother-in-law, uncle and was loved by all and a friend and coach to many. Mr. Groff began teaching at the Training School for Boys in Booneville MO, moved in 1973 to Vandalia MO where he was the head football coach and also coached basketball and track. In the fall of 1980, he moved to St. Peters and taught at Forest Park Elementary School in O'Fallon, MO. He also coached football at North High School in the Ft. Zumwalt School District. After coaching and teaching at North High School, he moved to South High School where he coached and taught until his retirement in 2003. He was also a coach at McCluer & Hazelwood Central High School. Mr. Groff enjoyed fishing and canoeing.
