Constance M. Stephens
July 11, 1926 — August 7, 2019
Constance M. Stephens of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 93 on Wednesday, August 7, 2019. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leroy Stephens; her parents, Erwin and Caroline Rung; and her brother, James Rung.
Constance is survived by her children, Karen Placke and Richard Stephens; her grandson, Scott (Catherine Sisk) Placke; her nieces-and-nephews, Melissa (David) Rung-Blue, Rebecca (Richard Denio, Deborah (Charles) Collis, and Michael (Heather Foster) Rung; her great-nieces-and-nephews, Emily Denio, Eric Denio, Jillian Collis, and Garrett Collis; and her sister-in-law, Betty Rung.
Constance devoted much of her life to her great passions of books and reading. She was an incredibly avid reader, with mysteries being her favorite genre, and she had the distinction of once serving as President of the Missouri Association of School Librarians. She will be dearly missed.
Contributions in Constance’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
