Cora Hughes

Cora Belle Hughes (nee: Blandford), of Saint Peters, MO, died on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late John Ewing Hughes, Sr; beloved daughter of the late Samuel and Mildreth Blandford; devoted mother of Patricia A. (Stephen) Hames and John Ewing (Heather) Hughes, Jr.; adopted grandmother of Jason and Jennifer Lewis; also survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her devoted companion, Charles E. Lewis, sister, Ruth Rode and brother, Eugene Blandford.
Cora loved to quilt and was very good at it. She made the best chicken and dumplings. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Cora was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace United Church of Christ.
