Gieskieng (nee: Kendall), Corene O., of St. Charles, Missouri and formerly of Crandon, Wisconsin, died on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at the age of 86. Loving wife of 60 years to the late Edward C. Gieskieng; dear daughter of the late John W. and Cloma C. Kendall; devoted mother of Linda (Charles) Beebe; cherished grandmother of Lisa (Bill Jr.) Friebel and Greg (Toby) Joslin; beloved great-grandmother of Hannah, Will, and Nicholas Friebel and Alyssa Joslin; dear sister-in-law of Wayne Linderman, Ann Gieskieng, and Arlene Gieskieng; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Corene is preceded in death by her brother Dr. M. Paul Kendall and sister Ardena Lindeman. Corene was a Secretary at Ahmanns Office Supplies. Corene dedicated her life to helping her community by volunteering at the American Red Cross for 40 years, USO, and the Clay West Nursing Home for 15 years. She was also an avid Cardinals fan and was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was active in the Susanna Wesley Fellowship and Fleet Reserve Association unit 267 at Lambert Airport.
