Cornelia “Nell” Meyerholtz

November 10, 1933 — April 23, 2020

Cornelia “Nell” Meyerholtz, of O’fallon Missouri, passed away on thursday April 23, 2020 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Glen Meyerholtz; cherished daughter of the late Harold and Cornelia Winker; devoted sister of the late Gladys Ord, Jane Schulpbach, Ednalouise Lenz, Maryellen Seltenreich, Beverly Scranton, David Winker and Charles Winker; devoted mother of Kenneth Meyerholtz, Carolyn Niederkorn and Karla Larson; loving grandmother of Alayna Niederkorn, Elise Larson and Erin Larson and treasured aunt of many nieces and nephews.

 Nell Grew up in Belleville Illinois, was active in 4-H and was raised on a dairy farm. She graduated from Belleview High School and then worked for Braniff Airlines. She met the love of her life, Glen, and they married on June 23, 1956. Glen and Nell raised their 3 children in St. Louis, and Nell worked as a travel agent for Maritz.  After retiring, their pastimes included traveling and spending time with family.

 Nell loved reading, traveling, taking photographs, going to estate sales, camping, sightseeing, genealogy and collecting antiques. She was kind and loving and had a great sense of humor. She cherished mostly time spent with her family, especially her siblings, children and grandchildren. She loved family get-togethers and family reunions.  She always sent cards for birthdays, holidays, and special occasions and she included family photos. She will be missed and remembered for her devotion to her family, generosity, and loving heart.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Nell’s name to Evelyn’s House, 1000 N Mason Road, Creve Coeur, Missouri 63141.
