Craig Steven Kozicki, passed away on April 1, 2009 at the age of 53 after an 11-year battle with Mesothelioma – a rare form of cancer caused by asbestos exposure. He was surrounded by family and friends at his death. Craig was born on March 6, 1956 in Highland Park, MI. He graduated with a degree in chemical engineering from Wayne State University in 1979. Craig has worked at Solutia Inc. for 30 years across three states. Craig finally settled in St. Charles, MO with his wife and daughter where he lived for 17 years. Craig's humor, courage and kind-heart will be missed, as he was an inspiration to the many lives he touched. Craig was the beloved husband of Shelly Kozicki (nee Rousse) for 28 years, adored father of Emily Steele (nee Kozicki), and cherished father-in-law of Kyle Steele. He was the son of Theodore J. Kozicki, Sr. and the late Germaine Kozicki (nee Podlaski). He is also survived by his brother Theodore Kozicki, Jr. Craig was also a loving son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew and friend to many. Services: There will be a Celebration of Life on April 18, 2009 at the St. Louis Art Museum, One Fine Arts Drive, Forest Park, St. Louis. The celebration will take place from 6:00pm – 10:00pm with a service being held from 7:00pm – 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions preferred to Craig's Grant to find a cure for Mesothelioma.
