Johnson, Sr., Curtis L. of New Bloomfield, MO, formerly of St. Charles, MO, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017, at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband for 57 years of the late Georgia Johnson; cherished son of the late Irl W. and Gladys Johnson; devoted father of Connie L. (Richard) Hitt, Curtis (Phyllis) Johnson, Jr., and Bradley W. Johnson; loving grandfather of Jennifer Sullivan, Richard Hitt, Jr., Kyle Johnson, Steven Johnson, Stephanie Johnson, Lauren Hahn, and Kory Johnson; treasured great-grandfather of Logan Sullivan, Chloe Sullivan, Brooks Johnson, and Savannah Johnson; and dear brother of Terry (Carolyn) Johnson. Curtis is preceded in death by his daughter Donna Lynn Johnson, and two grandsons Dustin Johnson and Clayton Johnson.
Curtis worked for over 30 years as a Tech Representative for Aircraft Technical Support at McDonnell Douglas. After retiring he began working for Schnucks Supermarkets and enjoyed being a member of UFCW. Some of his passions included the Missouri Pacific Railroad Society, where he was the former Editor of their Eagle Magazine, exploring his genealogy, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, and maintaining his 1955 Chevy. Above all else, Curtis loved his family and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
