Cynthia Rae Conkey Hayes

HAYES, Cynthia Rae (nee: Conkey), died unexpectedly in her home in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri, age 56, born in Springfield Illinois. Beloved wife of Buck Hayes; loving daughter of Norma Conkey and the late Ray Conkey; dear sister of Michael Conkey and Tim Conkey; beloved niece of Bea Taylor, Marilyn Wilson, Marge Thompson, Mary Adams, Alice Reiser, Ruth Clasing, Pat Cline and Bob Conkey. She is survived by a myriad of loved nieces, nephews, cousins and God children. Mrs. Hayes attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She was involved in the founding of the Town of Dardenne Prairie, the first Woman director of the Eastern Missouri Cutting Horse Association, an active bowler in multiple leagues and a member of Winghaven Country Club. Her poise, grace, intelligence and caring warmth will be remembered by all who knew her.
