Cynthia Gail Schwab

Cynthia Gail Schwab (nee Mabry), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at the age of 76. Beloved wife of the late Charles M. Schwab; cherished daughter of the late Buford Thornton and Juanita (nee: Miller) Mabry. Devoted mother of Nicole Schwab; loving grandmother of Jacob Schwab and Ciara Schwab; treasured great-grandmother of Kayden Schwab and Colton Schwab; dear sister of Pat Edel, Charles Mabry, and the late Charlotte McLane.
Cynthia was a member of O'Fallon Optimist Club and Friend of the youth. She loved to volunteer and gave so much back to the community. Cynthia helped so many without expecting anything in return. She was Mom, Granny, and Giggi to everyone. Cynthia encompassed the true meaning of a good friend, grandmother, mother, and sister. She was a true angel on earth. Cynthia was very humble, a great dancer, and very funny. Cynthia was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was a supervisor of about 25 customer service center employees at the GTE Midwest office. She trained and mentored many people in a way that made all of them feel they could obtain their goals without compromising their integrity. Always positive, always helpful, and she took joy from the success of others.
Memorials may be made in Cynthia's name to Optimist Club.
