D. Mark Courtney, age 48 of Charlotte, North Carolina, husband of Shirley Courtney, passsed away Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at Carolinas Medical Center. He was born on September 27, 1955 in Columbia, MO, a son of Donald and Joan Courtney and moved from St. Charles, MO thirteen years ago. He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church and was a loving father and devoted husband. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Courtney of Charlotte; children, Jeff Courtney and his fiancee Keitt McCormick of Charlotte, Sara Courtney of Charlotte; parents, Donald and Joan Courtney of St. Charles, MO; brother, David Courtney of St. Charles, MO; sisters-in-law, Betty Kluesner and husband Larry of St. Louis, MO, Edith Beumer and husband Stan of St. Charles, MO; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Marie Oldenburg of St. Charles, MO; and numerous other loving relatives.
